Prior to joining the Coalition team, Ava Walderman (she/her) served as a Communications Specialist at the Texas Department of State Health Services, where she coordinated statewide projects on vaccine outreach, including managing operations for immunization stakeholder groups, developing vaccine campaign messaging, and coordinating a COVID-19 vaccine outreach and education grant program. She previously worked as a Community Outreach and Education Coordinator at Westside Family Health Center, a Federally Qualified Health Center located in Los Angeles. While there, Ava provided reproductive health services and educational health presentations as well as managed the clinic’s social media accounts.
Ava grew up in Los Angeles, California and received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Relations from the University of California, Davis in 2019.
